Testimonials
Straight from the people in the room
Here’s what they’ve said about the studio, the teaching, and what drama has done for them (and, in some cases, what it’s done for the whole household).
My daughter loves attending these classes! She found the confidence and safety to express herself in all her neuro-glory to the rest of the class, proudly owning her autism and ADHD.
Fiona has been a beautiful mentor to her, and I know she feels fully accepted and seen during classes.
We have loved seeing our daughter’s creativity and confidence grow throughout the terms. Drama classes are a weekly highlight and it’s been a joy to see our daughter take part in the small, fun classes.
Fiona creates a very welcoming and engaging space and is a wonderful teacher and influence on the kids.

Our Son absolutely loves this class (and so have I, his mum). It’s been really lovely to see what it has brought out in him.
It has brought out such a creative and artistic side of him, and I love seeing how proud he is of himself and how excited he is to be involved.
More than anything, it’s been wonderful to see his confidence grow while he’s doing something he genuinely enjoys. He talks about the class with so much enthusiasm, and it has been such a positive experience for him.
Thank you for creating an environment where Our Son feels comfortable enough to be himself, be creative and shine. It has genuinely been lovely to watch.

Our daughter loves it when they act out stories and games that make her imagination and creativity come to life.
She is learning new skills that help her to find joy in every aspect of daily life too!
It’s always wonderful to hear her talk about things she is doing at class and how they translate into school, home and the world at large.

My child has really enjoyed developing her acting skills, in particular exploring different characters.
She’s been able to apply these skills in an informal theatre club play at school. It’s been great to see her confidence and self-expression develop

“My daughter has loved her time with Fiona and has thrived under her guidance. She looks forward to her classes and always came home full of ideas for building on what she was learning with Fiona.”

“UNMASKED has been amazing for our daughter! She absolutely loves going each week and talks about it for days afterwards. It’s a place where she feels accepted, understood and free to be herself. ”
We’ve seen her confidence grow, watched her form meaningful connections, and most importantly, seen the joy it brings her.
Fiona has created something really special, and we’re so grateful for the positive impact it’s had!

“My daughter did group classes and some 1:1 sessions with Miss Fiona, and they helped her enormously with confidence, social skills and self expression.”
She looked forward to every class, and we still play the games she learnt at home. Highly recommend Unmasked!

I loved the adult class at Unmasked! It was a fun, safe space each week to learn new skills, be creative and play.
I came to improve my public speaking skills and got so much more. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to build their creativity and interpersonal skills.

I joined the adult acting class to try something new and different for myself. It was a little scary at first, but it taught me to trust my instincts and be more authentic.
It was challenging but also really fun and rewarding. I left each class feeling braver, more confident and genuinely proud of myself. Thankyou for creating such a supportive space.

One thing we’ve really noticed through our daughter’s time at UNMASKED is her growing confidence.
Last term, she stood up in front of the class as part of a group, confidently delivered her lines and, when another student forgot theirs, was able to step in and help them.
It was lovely to see her so comfortable, prepared and supportive of others.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I joined the class, and I was a bit nervous at first, especially since English is my second language. But that quickly faded away.
I felt very comfortable being myself, trying things out, being creative and playful, without worrying about being judged.
The class was exactly what I was looking for: an acting class for people who simply want to explore their creativity and enjoy acting, without the pressure or commitment of wanting to become an actor.
As an added bonus, I came away with tools that have helped me feel more confident in public speaking situations too.

Fiona has been a kind and supportive guide as he ventures into the world of drama and creativity.
Our son has attended Unmasked in Barwon Heads since it opened earlier this year. He has absolutely loved it and it has been a joyful and creative after school activity for him.

Unmasked is a revelation and I would highly recommend!

The difference in our daughters mindset and mood after a session is incredible. She is so engaged and motivated. No matter what physical or mental health challenge she may of had that day, she will always want to go to drama.
The way you nurture and scaffold these kids is genuine and with the kids best outcomes at heart.
Each child bounces into your space knowing they are accepted, they can truly express themselves, and that they have an appropriate amount of time per class to settle in and feel at ease.
For a lot of kids, this is the only place they can do this.

Our daughter counts down the days until the next session.
She is like a different child when she walks out of class. She is beaming, happy and can't wait to practice her lines.
I have noticed she has so much more confidence since going to drama class. And, she has made a friend.

So many incredible wins to come from drama classes. It is a game changer for the early teenages to have a space to connect and feel accepted.
