UNMASKING Spectrum School Readiness sessions are designed for young children who identify as autistic or neurodivergent, or who benefit from smaller, supportive group environments.
• INSIDE THIS CLASS
Through imaginative play, storytelling, movement and creative drama, children explore communication, creativity and social interaction in ways that feel playful and engaging.
Sessions are flexible and sensory-aware, allowing children to participate at their own pace.
Some children may enjoy expressive movement and role-play, while others may prefer quieter exploration or observation. All forms of participation are welcomed and supported.
Children are welcome to join in at their own pace - watching, exploring and participating in ways that feel comfortable for them.
Small group sizes help create a calm and supportive environment where children can build confidence, connection and comfort in a group setting.
Sessions also gently support skills that help children feel more confident participating in group environments such as kinder or school.
These sessions may complement the goals families are working on with therapists by supporting communication, confidence and social participation through creative activities.
• STUDENT SUPPORT
All Spectrum term programs include a 15-minute consultation prior to term commencement to discuss interests, communication styles and anything that may support a positive experience.
The consultation also helps determine the most suitable session format and class placement to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment.
Parents, carers and support workers are welcome to attend where helpful to support engagement.
Initial sessions are approached gently so participants have time to become comfortable with the environment and explore activities in ways that feel safe and positive.

• PAYMENT
Spectrum sessions are invoiced weekly to provide flexibility for families.
Small group $120 per participant, per 90min session Maximum 4 students

• ATTENDANCE
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session, we ask that families notify us as early as possible. Due to the small group size and reserved places, missed sessions may still be invoiced.
If after the first session the program does not feel like the right fit for a student, families are welcome to discontinue and no further sessions will be invoiced.
• STUDENT SUPPORT
Our goal is to create a safe, calm and supportive environment where every student can participate in a way that works for them. Families are encouraged to share any information that may help us support their child’s experience in class.
Students may take short breaks or regulate in ways that support their participation, and we aim to provide a flexible environment where students can engage at their own pace.
If a student requires a higher level of support than the class setting can safely provide, we will work with families to explore appropriate options, which may include adjusting the program or discussing alternative supports.
• BEHAVIOUR
If behaviour becomes unsafe or significantly impacts the ability for the class to run safely, we may pause participation and work together with families to determine the best next steps.
Our priority is always the safety, wellbeing and positive experience of every student.
Parents or carers may be asked to remain nearby or reachable during sessions in case additional support is required.
